Add the connector

Paste one public address into the AI tool you already use. There is no API key and no account on this site. After it is connected, ask a tax question and tell the assistant to cite the source.

Claude

Anthropic’s help page says custom connectors are available on Free, Pro, Max, Team, and Enterprise. A Free account is limited to one custom connector. On Team and Enterprise, an owner adds the connector for the organization before a member can turn it on.

  1. On a Pro or Max account, open Customize, then Connectors.
  2. Choose Add, then Add custom connector.
  3. Name it Pass-through tax rules and paste the server address above.
  4. When Claude asks how people connect, choose No sign-in.
  5. In a chat, open the plus button, then Connectors, and turn this one on.

Team and Enterprise owners start at Organization settings, then Connectors, then Add, then Custom, then Web. Claude’s help page has the owner steps.

ChatGPT

OpenAI’s current help page says you add a custom server from Plugins on the web. It also says you do not have to turn on Developer Mode first. Workspace rules can still block it. This page does not guess which paid plan is required.

  1. Open Plugins, choose the plus button, then Add custom MCP server.
  2. Name it Pass-through tax rules and paste the server address.
  3. Leave authentication off.
  4. Read the warning, confirm it, and create the plugin.
  5. In a chat, type @ and choose the plugin.

OpenAI’s help page covers workspace limits and the current Plugins screen.

Cursor

The button opens Cursor’s install prompt. Cursor then asks you to confirm the server before it is added.

VS Code

The button uses VS Code’s install link. You still confirm the server inside VS Code. You can also open the Command Palette, run MCP: Add Server, choose HTTP, and paste the address.

Any other MCP client

Add a remote server, paste the address, and leave authentication off. The server speaks streamable HTTP. It does not run a program on your computer.
